You often hear people say that when Armageddon comes, the only survivors left will be cockroaches and Cher. Well, you might want to add McDonald's to the survivors list too.

There are over 31,000 McDonald's locations world-wide and the catchphrase, "I'm loving it" has been translated to at least 16 different languages. And even though the menus may vary from country to country, the Golden Arches remain.

Of course, we expect to find McDonald's in bustling city centers, airports, and suburban spots frequented by moms in minivans, but nothing can quite prepare us for the shock we feel when stepping out of an ancient palace, museum, or monument and the Golden Arches are beckoning us to come inside and order a Big Mac (or if you're in Norway, a McLak salmon sandwich.)

Even though a computer mouse rightly can be thought of as one of the more peripheral of peripherals, a new one just arrived that can honestly claim the adjective "transformative." The first Apple Macintosh Mouse appeared in 1984. Company Apple Macintosh at that time introduced a revolutionary mouse and till now they do not stop surprising us firing on the market a new wireless "magic" mouse (Apple Magic Mouse).

Being a fan of single malt scotch, Teroforma co-founder Andrew Hellman had pondered this exact question before. After a bunch of searching and testing, we came up with Whisky Stones as the answer. Based on an idea using granite that has been in existence in Scandinavia for centuries, we chose to work with natural soapstone due to its softness (won’t scratch the glass) and its unique ability to retain temperature for extended periods of time. A few hours in the freezer and the stones are ready to complement your favorite tipple without imparting either flavor or odor.

Kerry Skarbakka photographs himself falling from trees, jumping off bridges and in the midst of fires – all in the name of art. Inspired by the helplessness he felt after the 9/11 attacks, Kerry's work captures him frozen in a moment of peril.
